What kind of memories do you think last in our heads the longest? The happy ones? The scary ones? The sad ones? The funny ones? Actually, it’s the sad ones or negative memories that stay in our memories for a long time.
We had difficult times in our lives and so did idols we love. It’s really tough to be an idol and getting to be known is the next problem. They’ve spent rough times practicing every day and being on diet forever before debut. Those rough times can be told as a precious memory from the point where they are now.
Here are some of the funny yet sympathetic stories of idols before their debut.
SeolHyun of AOA
After practice, me and my members snuck out to see the movie “Kungfu Panda”. Very unluckily, we ran into our supervisor in the theator and we were sent to our dorm. He threw out our stuff and told us not to come to practice from tomorrow. We all went home but we were called back after three days. I though I’d get to rest for a week but it was only three days of suspension…
ChanYeol of EXO
I was really naive when I was a trainee so the supervisor told be to look up to SuHo and follow him around. I did follow SuHo around everywhere he went and he oneday asked me why. I told him that I don’t know why, then he asked why do I live. It was a big question for a 17 years old so I couldn’t answer. He told me not to follow him around until I found my answers.
Wendy of Red Velvet
While I was a trainee, my mom made a sweet pumpkin cake with no sugar since I was on a diet. I shared it with my members and I ate the least. However, the supervisor scolded me of eating the cakes and I got mad at mom for no reason. I really feel sorry for what I’ve said to her back then.
Niel of Teen Top
Our dorm was on the fourth floor and our company’s office was on the second floor of the same building. If we were to get out from our dorm, we had to pass by our office. We jumped out from the fourth floor and played widly on a school field at night.
Krystal of f(x)
When everyone else was practicing, I alway went out. Every sunday, we had to film something that we do best and I really hated that. I hid in the toliet everytime they were filming. I was too scared to do anything infront of the crowd.
Kim HeeChul of Super Junior
I had trouble with the company due to disagreement in the field of music I want to go for. I wrote letters of apology everyday but to show that I am disobedient, I wrote “I don’t know why I am writing this, this was really forced…” Also, I got a lot of suspensions and I was sometimes sent back to my home. However whenever I faced those times, I thought “They’d call me if they’d need me again.” It was such a naive thought.
Sana of TWICE
I really wanted to eat pork during my practice years but there was a CCTV infront of our dorm. We couldn’t order the port without getting caught. We traded the pork and the money through our windows tied in shoelaces. Also, I pretended that I didn’t understand Korean when I was being scolded for eating much.
