GIRLKIND XJR ‘Money Talks’ Mixes Sound Different On Different Channels?
The sub-unit debuted on July 31st.
It’s actually been a while since we’ve seen a girl group of this kind in recent times, and by that we mean a girl group that is hip-hop based, excluding BLACKPINK of course.
Generally, most third generation K-Pop girl groups have leaned towards releasing music that infuses dancehall, future bass, and bubblegum pop, rather than opting for hip-hop R&B song with thumping 808’s to shake the floor.
And this is one of the reasons why GIRLKIND XJR are appealing.
The visuals of both XeHeun and JK are also another aspect of the girl group’s likeableness. Not saying that all K-Pop idols look the same, but both actually are gorgeous and at the same time do not have the similar visual vibes that most K-Pop idols have.
Anyways, on to the point.
The song ‘Money Talks’ sounds quite different in terms of the overall mix depending on which channel you listen to it from.
The one on the official GIRLKIND YouTube channel sounds much more richer and refined whereas the mix on the Stone Entertainment YouTube channel sounds slightly more raw.
Which explains why some people who had attentive ears could tell the mix wasn’t as good as it could be.
Listen to the video at around 0:30 below, from GIRLKIND’s official channel.
And listen again to the same part, 0:30, on Stone Entertainment’s channel.
Can you hear the difference? If you can, good ear! You just might have what it takes to be a K-Pop producer.
