Hate comments have been a headache for fans, agencies, and K-Pop idols. And often times in the past, agencies declared war and insisted that they were doing the best they can to ensure that such unfortunate incidents happen again. But nothing seemed to really work until just recently.

SM Entertainment, currently in a legal battle with hate comment writers who spread malicious lies and rumors about their artists such as EXO and TaeYeon, seems to have taken their first steps in victory as the agency announced that the ones responsible for the comments have been given a fine.

Hopefully, the recent news will reach the ears of the rest of the hate comment writers and anyone else who are thinking about attacking the reputation and image of other idols, and prove to be a stern warning against them.
