It's time for another dream cast for K-Dramas based on webtoons!

In recent years, more and more webtoons have been getting adapted into K-Dramas as well as the other way around, bringing forth a cross-cultural flux of audience for both mediums. In 2021 alone, a number of webtoons have been confirmed to be adapted into dramas and more have been announced.

One such webtoon that has been confirmed to be getting a K-Drama with 2 seasons is "Weak Hero" written by SEOPASS and illustrated by Kim JinSeok. Jaedam Media will be collaborating with PLAYLIST on this project with plans of releasing the same in the first half of 2022.

"Weak Hero" tells the story of a peculiarly unassuming and vulnerable-looking new student, Yeon SiEun, at a high school full of bullies. In an institution where the weak are targetted without mercy, SiEun fights back using his brains and psychology as tools. The webtoon became so popular that it was serialized in multiple languages including Thai, Indonesian, French, German and Chinese.

Yeon SiEun is Gray Yeon, Park HooMin is Ben Park, Go HyunTak is Alex Go and Jin GaYul is Gerard Jin. These are the central protagonists of the webtoon. Na BaekJin (Donald Na) is the primary antagonist of the story.

Yeon SiEun is the most important character in the story. He is the eponymous weak hero. His other nickname is "Eunjang's White Mamba". SiEun is notorious for his analytical skills and fighting techniques. He has a small stature and his visuals are extraordinarily beautiful.

We think EXO's D.O , Kim MinSeok, or Stray Kids' I.N would be perfect for this role.

2. Park HooMin

Park HooMin is one of the strongest characters in the story. His physical strength is incomparable but he is also a skillful fighter. He is tall and muscular in appearance. Park HooMin never backs down from standing up for what's right. He is brave, courageous and compassionate.

We think Lee JaeWook or ATEEZ's SeongHwa would be perfect for this role.

3. Go HyunTak

Go HyunTak is the second-in-command in the Eunjang Gang. He has black hair styled in an undercut and green eyes, making him very attractive. Go HyunTak is short-tempered and is often driven by his guts alone. He might seem indifferent but he is deeply caring.

4. Jin GaYul

Jin GaYul is also one of the strongest characters in the webtoon. He can be described as an ambivert because even though he is rather quiet, he opens up with his friends. GaYul is 188cm tall, making him one of the tallest students at EunJang High. He keeps a level head even in the direst of situations and has a kind disposition. He's also incredibly handsome and has beautiful eyes behind those bangs.

Na BaekJin is tall, blonde and gorgeous but he's also the most hated character in the story, owing to him being the central villain of the same. He is both charismatic and intimidating, at times even manipulative and cruel. He has the smarts both when it comes to academics and business, which enhances his cocky attitude. However, he also has a dark back-story that will definitely affect your judgement of him.

We think Nam YoonSoo or Kim Kwon would be amazing in such a complex role.
