Here’s What Mnet Has To Say About Rigged Votes Accusation For ‘Produce X 101’
The agency released an official statement recently while issuing an apology.
“We sincerely apologize for the controversy involving the votes of ‘Produce X 101. All eleven debuting members were revealed through a live broadcast on the 19th, with their final number of votes being shown as well.
After the broadcast, the difference in the number of votes among some of the trainees were exactly the same.
There are no defects with the final rankings of the trainees. However, there was an error in the way the figures were delivered during the broadcast.”
According to them, the staff members in charge of calculating the votes used a method the percentages were rounded up by two decimal places, and the results that followed were shown during the broadcast.
Mnet has stated that they will not use the calculation method in the future.
