Highly Anticipated NCT’s Ten Solo Debut Expected To Release In 2023

Expectations regarding NCT Ten (Ten Lee) ’s official debut as a soloist have raised following an announcement made by SM Entertainment through their official YouTube Channel: SM TOWN ‘s “The Era of SM 3.0, Fans Ask and SM Answers.”

Former Co-CEOs of SM Entertainment, Chris Lee and YoungJun Tak shared with the public SM’s plans for their artists. Fans were delighted to see “Ten Mini (Album) Debut” written on the 2023 plans for the company.

Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul, commonly known as Ten, is a Thai K-Pop artist with a large artistic background that started ever since his childhood years. Young Chittaphon won a widely known Thai televised music contest “Teen Superstar” (2011), which gave him a vast popularity in his mother-land Thailand as well as recognition across Southeast Asia. Ten Lee later then auditioned for SM and was able to join SM’s rookie group “SM Rookies.” He officially debuted in 2016 with NCT U‘s ‘The 7th Sense’ and has bagged other couple debuts such as WayV (2019) and SuperM (2019).

However, Ten Lee has been very vocal about challenging his limits and exploring new sides of himself – in this case, being a soloist. He was first given the chance to begin this journey under SM’s project: STATION titled ‘Dream In A Dream’.

It which wasn’t really a solo debut, but rather, just a digital music project. So far, Ten has released 4 songs in total under this same concept: ‘Dream In A Dream’, ‘New Heroes’, ‘Paint Me Naked’, and ‘Birthday’.

These 4 songs are so distinct from one another, starting from the concept, musical arrangement, vocals, choreography, to even the clothing and styling. But these were still able to build a timeline that cohesively describes the identity Ten has built as a wholesome artist, a free-spirited and creative misfit soul that’s completely passionate about his work.

It is important to highlight that Ten has been hinting an official solo debut for more than a year now, telling hints to his fans, or as he likes to call them: his “lovely people” (10velys), through fan-sign video-calls, and sharing meaningful words regarding his plans for the future, with the public through solo interviews and/or articles.

There is no doubt there is a big hype surrounding Ten Lee’s upcoming projects that showcase his artistic potential, especially the official solo debut which has been hinted by SM executives. Fans and non-fans are cheering and waiting for you, TEN.
