The film ‘Harbin’ has been officially invited to the Gala Presentations section of the 49th Toronto International Film Festival, drawing significant attention. Actors Hyun Bin, Lee DongWook, and director Woo MinHo will be attending the festival.
Set in 1909, the espionage drama ‘Harbin’ depicts the intense pursuit and suspicion between those heading to Harbin with a single purpose and those chasing them. Hyun Bin plays the role of Ahn JungGeun, while Lee DongWook takes on the role of Lee ChangSeob, portraying the tumultuous journey of independence fighters.
Hyun Bin, Lee DongWook, and director Woo MinHo are confirmed to attend the promotional events for the Gala Presentations section of the 49th Toronto International Film Festival, held from September 5 to September 15. The first official event for ‘Harbin’ is the world premiere, scheduled for the evening of September 8 at Roy Thomson Hall, where they will walk the red carpet and interact with the audience before the screening. On September 9, an ‘In Conversation with Hyun Bin, Lee DongWook’ event will be held at TIFF Bell Lightbox. This program invites directors or actors to discuss their films and take questions from the audience in a conversational format. The official festival programmer, Anita Lee, will host the event, delving deeply into ‘Harbin’. This year’s ‘In Conversation with’ event at the Toronto International Film Festival will feature global directors and actors, including Steven Soderbergh, Cate Blanchett of ‘Rumors’, and Zoe Saldana of ‘Emilia Perez’, alongside Hyun Bin and Lee DongWook of ‘Harbin’.

‘Harbin’ is a production by director Woo MinHo, known for his stylish direction and deep insights into the times through works like ‘The Man Standing Next’ and ‘Inside Men’, in collaboration with Hive Media Corp, known for ‘Seoul’s Spring’ and ‘Deliver Us from Evil’.
