My Idol Photostory: Kim SoRi of Real Girls Project
Age is only a number for Kim SoRi. She has proved that she is capable and has what it takes to be a K-Pop idol by getting a nod from even YG himself.
In the world of K-Pop and idol celebrities, it’s a lot more competitive and cut-throat than most people assume it to be. The chances of making a breakthrough are almost impossibly low and especially lower these days with the surplus of idol trainees in South Korea alone. However, SoRi is not daunted in any way as she continues to be active as a K-Pop idol despite her relatively older age in comparison to the majority of other K-Pop idols. Her love and passion for music is genuine. It shows in her eyes when she is in the spotlight.
My Idol Photostory: Kim SoRi
Kim SoRi was born on July 21st, 1990. She is the lead vocalist and leader of the girl group Real Girls Project. Before being a member of Real Girls Project, she was active as a member of the idol duo CoCoSoRi.
Real Girls Project debuted through K-Drama ‘[email protected]‘.
SoRi appeared on JTBC‘s and YG Entertainment‘s MIXNINE, a reality idol audition program. She became the center of attention after Yang HyunSuk spoke harshly towards her about her relatively old age for an idol and her career without any major breakthroughs.
However, despite the criticisms from YG, she stood her ground and gave a touching performance which gained her admiration from audiences in not just South Korea but also from global K-Pop fans keeping up with MIXNINE. YG himself has also complimented her in the end.
She has gained immense popularity on MIXNINE for her amazing ability to execute eye-pleasing choreography.
Although Real Girls Project only recently have begun gaining more interest from K-Pop fans, their current fanbase is strong and dedicated, notably the fans in Japan and the Phillippines.
Fans have also actively purchased Real Girls Project goods and merchandises. The fan-base continues to grow bigger thanks to the hard work and efforts of the girl group members. SoRi, Yukika, JiWon, and JiSeul have been attracting the interest of South Korean netizens not only through MIXNINE but also various other activities as idols.
