Have you ever wondered where do K-Pop idols go for dance classes before they debut? Or have you ever wondered about the street dance culture in South Korea?

Thanks to 'Hallyu', many people are taking note that K-Pop idols are not only good in singing but also good in dancing. As such, many K-Pop idols hopefuls also make their way down to Seoul just to have lessons from famous choreographers. They train under them and as time goes by, audition opportunities also come along the way.

Well, for those who are curious, we have listed down three dance studios in Seoul which not only houses famous K-Pop choreographers and teachers but also dancers who you may see together on stage with the idols.

        Prepix Studio

Some may recognize this studio as there are many dance famous teachers who belong here that have worked with K-Pop idols. If you remember Mnet "Hit The Stage", NCT's Ten had a spectacular performance with the help of his dance teacher, iLL.

Naria from Prepix is also known to be Girls' Generation HyoYeon's dance instructor. Apart from that, the team has also work with many idols, the most recent one being Hoya. Previously, they also worked with Jay Park.

Prepix has around 32 different dance instructors and an assorted array of dance genres for you to choose. It includes hip hop, fusion contemporary, choreography, house and so on.

If you are worried, don't be because Prepix also has basic classes so people without dance background could also start learning from there too.

One session of their class costs 28,000 won and 100,000won for 4 times. If you are someone who is really keen on learning, you can get their one month worth of 'All Pass' coupon for 350,000won. You will be able to take any class available for the entire month.

Their studio is located at 3F, 8-13 Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

        Urban Play

Urban Play is another dance studio you would want to drop by and take their classes because they have passionate dance teachers who take good care of their students too.

An interesting fact is that they offer lessons for students who wish to enter into performing arts departments in university. It is a small intensive training course which allows the dance instructor to focus on the students who had signed up for the class.

They have dance class for reggae & dance hall, waacking, soul & step, popping, hip hop and other street dance genres too. If you are interested in learning more of the street dance genre, this is one of the dance studios which many highly recommended.

Every year in summer, Urban Play has their own 'Urban Summer Life' which can also be viewed as a dance class showcase. Students signed up for the summer classes and usually around September, they will hold the performance together with the instructors in a performing arts hall. The top three classes get to win cash prizes and this is usually one of the highlights of the year for Urban Play.

They are located at 1576-3 Misung dong Gwanak-gu, Seoul near Sillim station.

You can find out more information on their Instagram and Facebook page.
