Industry Experts Give Opinion On E’Dawn Going Solo After Leaving Cube Entertainment
While some fans were hoping that it wouldn’t come to this, it’s finally happened. E’Dawn is now finally out of Cube Entertainment and is also no longer a member of Pentagon as well.
But one can’t help but ask “what now”?
Now that he no longer has an agency, it’s worth wondering how the K-Pop idol will reignite his career. Industry experts recently spoke about the issue during an interview on Sports Seoul.
One expert stated
“Because he was the main rapper for his former group Pentagon, his rapping skills are decent considering his idol status and his performance skills were top notch. In addition, he is also a competent songwriter as well. Given these circumstances, there’s potential for him.”
“What he will be needing is time. Time for promotion, whether it’s through joining another group or as a solo artist. And he would also have to gain the support back from some fans as the fandom seems divided at the moment regarding this issue. Unless an opportunity such as an audition program or TV show is presented to him, it won’t be an easy task. An agency that could back him is crucial.
And a third expert added
“After his relationship with HyunA went public, he lost a great deal of fans but did somehow manage to get the support of the public. His Instagram already has 616k followers with the help of HyunA. But his current fans all are likely overseas fans, meaning he has quite an obstacle to overcome to establish himself domestically.”
