Melon Music Award was a chance for fans to see most of the idols as well as musicians who have performed this year gathered in one place.
Such big gathering is not a unique event only for fans. It is also a special occasion for all idols and participants. Though they are all “idols” they do have other idols and musicians they admire and seeing them must feel very exciting. Some funny moments were caught in this year Melon Music Awards. It seemed like not a lot of idols went there to receive awards but to see and meet IU!
A lot of idols were caught admiring IU and wanting to talk to her. Some brave idols eventually succeeded in talking to her! It was almost like IU was having a fan meeting and the participants were K-Pop idols. LOL
Here are the moments where different idols were caught being a fangirl /fanboy of IU!
1st – JeongYeon and NaYeon of TWICE Becomes Fan Girls to IU
Can you see what JeongYeon did before saying Hi to IU? She counted to three!! She must have been really nervous LOL
JeongYeon continuously expresses her love through hearts.
2nd – Wendy of Red Velvet is also a Fan!
Wendy acts like the typical fangirl when she meets her idol. She is getting a kick out of IU, flinching only by talking to her!
3rd – YeRi gives IU a Thumbs Up! At the end of the show, YeRi succeeds to take a picture with IU.
4th – SuHo of EXO truly enjoys ‘Through the Night’ of IU
5th – Kai of EXO stands up instantly when IU was awarded
6th – JungKook of BTS shows what fanboy truly is
When IU was called as the nominee.
While IU doing her speech, she said “Oh, am I talking too much?”, “JungKook instantly replies “No, it’s fine!!!!” Jin burst into laughter because of his honest reaction as a fanboy.
This is exactly how fans look at their idols when they make cute mistakes on stages.
Aside from the fan meeting moments, a funny best friend moment was caught between BaekHyun and Kai. The two were chosen as best friends and the camera flashed them. BaekHyun tries to run away because he is shy but Kai won’t let him.
