Japanese Contest Blatantly Plagiarizes EXO’s Logo? EXO-L Say So
A contest that is being held in Japan, EXA Kids, is currently under criticism as the contest’s logo looks a little too similar to SM Entertainment boy group EXO‘s logo.
Perhaps EXA Kids really liked how their first two letters were the same with EXO and also liked how the alphabets looked cool fitting in to a hexagon and decided to “borrow” the design?
EXA Kids responded by saying that they simply didn’t do enough research and that that it was an instance of “overlapping”. They insisted that they did not plagiarize. Their official Twitter account emphasized that the two were just “similar”.
In addition, they issued an apology and stated that the design will be changed by next year.
Below are how EXO-L have been responding.
btw it’s not a SIMILARITY, it’s a COPY 🤪
