Japanese Hate These 4 Korean Drama Posters In Japanese Version
Koreans dramas are sold to other countries and one of the top clients in none other than Japan.
Korean drama posters are then adapted in a Japanese version for their broadcast in the country. But apparently, not everyone is satisfied with all the re-adapted posters.
You will find some similarities in the Japanese posters such as a pink text color and glitters.
Here is the list. Find on the left the Korean poster and on the right the Japanese poster.
1- “While You Were Sleeping”
“While You Were Sleeping” Korean poster is having the main actors hugging each other almost kissing. The Japanese version cuts the picture to fit it in the lower part of the poster. In the major and upper part, the poster highlights the actors’ faces (Lee JongSuk and Suzy) that are not visible in the original poster.
“Goblin” original poster has dark colors and the actor standing in front of a gloomy grey sky. The original version also has a sense of emptiness. The Japanese version zooms in and adds bright color and falling rose petals.
3- “Love in the Moonlight”
“Love in the Moonlight” Korean poster was taken in a natural background that suited the actors’ outfit colors and the flower crown. The Japanese version changed the background for a night sky and a full moon with shinning trees.
4- “The Package”
The Korean version of “The Package” has the main couple riding bicycle side by side in Trouville (Normandy, France). The Japanese version goes for a large upper part picture of the lead about to kiss. In the lower part, they decide to go for a picture of Paris instead of the countryside. To this, they also added a selfie of the couple.
What do you think? Do you like these posters? Do you understand the dissatisfcation of some Japanese?
