Judge Denies Arrest Warrant For Goo Hara’s Ex-Boyfriend Choi JongBum
According to South Korean news agencies, the Seoul Central District Court announced that the judge presiding over the assault and revenge pornography case involving actress Goo Hara and her ex-boyfriend Choi JongBum announced that he has dismissed the arrest warrant of Choi.
The prosecution requested an arrest warrant for Choi based on the accusations of threatening to leak revenge pornography on October 19th. However, the judge dismissed the request as he found there was no evidence that the controversial sex tape was ever leaked to a third party.
At the moment, this has caused quite a bit of concern for Goo Hara fans as it shows the prosecution failed to drive the case into a criminal one and is becoming more and more about domestic violence. And in countries such as South Korea, cases about domestic violence are generally not given as much attention to criminal cases.
