Jung YongHwa Of CNBLUE Caught In University Admissions Scandal
The recent KyungHee University scandal involving CNBLUE frontman Jung YongHwa caused an intense commotion online in South Korea.
According to South Korean media reports, Jung YongHwa has already released an official statement of apology.
So what exactly was the entire scandal about? It turns out that Jung YongHwa was admitted into the graduate school of KyungHee University based on the fact that he was a famous K-Pop idol. He never showed up to take qualification exams resulting in a score of “0” but regardless, received a letter of admission.
Jung YongHwa and his management have released a statement saying he applied for the graduate school of KyungHee University after a professor encouraged him to do so.
South Korean netizens have begun strongly voicing their disappointment and anger saying the situation is no different from that of Chung YooRa‘s.
Below is Jung YongHwa’s apology.
“In all humiliation, I sincerely apologize to everyone. Whatever the reason, whatever the truth is, I take full responsibility and am taking time to reflect back on my actions. Whatever people may say of me, I fully accept it. I am ashamed and embarrassed for disappointing my family, fellow band members, and fans who trusted me. I am sorry for disappointing everyone. I am sorry for having wasted your time by making you read this letter of apology.“
