The Korean Embassy has launched Singapore’s very first K-Drama Online Festival, an online contest to encourage sharing of unique Korean drama scenes curated by K-drama enthusiasts nationwide. The Festival is set to kick off from 16 July 2020 (Thursday) to 9 August 2020 (Sunday).
K-Drama Online Festival is the 3rd initiative organised by the Korean Embassy in bids to lift Singaporean spirits to tackle COVID-19 through the online hype of the Korean wave in Singapore, following the successful launch of the first online K-Pop and K-Food Online festival. In addition to sharing culture, language and interest through Korean dramas, the initiative will be a great way to showcase linguistic and cinematic talents within our midst.
Mr Ahn Young-jip, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea added, “I am looking forward to seeing Singaporeans' creativity through the first K-Drama Festival. K-Dramas have ranked top among Singapore’s most popular content thanks to the people of Singapore who supported and loved K-drama continuously. This festival is a small token of appreciation to K-Drama fans in Singapore. With the energy of K-Drama, let’s stay healthy and overcome the Covid-19 pandemic together”.

All submissions will be reviewed by the organiser, with the judging criteria based on your video content’s fun and creative element, as well as Korean linguistic level (if applicable) amongst other factors.
