1. The Toner Hack
Jessica has a makeup hack for even the start of her routine! We usually dab toner on our hands or a cotton pad to apply it on our face, but Jessica recommends dabbing a good amount of toner on three cotton pads and placing it on your cheeks and forehead. After your skin absorbs the toner, gently wipe the access along your face. Jessica goes a little farther and wipes toner on her ear area as well!
The Face Shop has a total care toner that covers all skin troubles called, BIFIDA Total Care. If you’re looking for moisture focused toners, Etude House has a new line called Pink Vital Water and its Facial Toner. Lastly, Innisfree’s Green Persimmon Pore Toner is perfect for those who are worried about their wide pores.
2. The Heat Absorption Hack
When Jessica applies skin care products like essence, she uses the heat of her hands to help the skin naturally absorb the products better. If you naturally have cold hands, try rubbing your hands together to make heat by friction. When you’re focusing on the eye, Jessica recommends playing piano around the base of your eyes. Lightly drum your fingertips around the edge of your eyes.
The latest trend in Korean beauty is convenience and speed. The Face Shop has an all in one cream in its BIFIDA line that combined the effects of 3 beauty products into one. Etude House’s Pink Vital Water Serum is perfect for the moisture finish, while Innisfree’s Green Persimmon Pore Essence works best with those who have large pores.
3. The Hydrating Hack
To get the moistureful look, Jessica relies on her hydrating mist. For starters, she sprays it all around her face, but when she’s traveling in planes or other dry places, she sprays the mist all over the place. Jessica swears by this to keep her skin bright and healthy.
Just as there’s plenty of essences, the toners are the same! The Face Shop’s The SMIM Collagen Mist has abundance of skin tightening noutrients for those who worry about wrinkles. Laneige’s Water Bank Mineral Skin Mist is ideal for dryer skin tones. Lastly, Innisfree’s latest Jeju Lava Seawater Mist helps moisturize your fave as well out smooth out lines!
4. The Lash Curler Hack
The last ingenious makeup hack of our beauty queen is heating your eyelash curler! Just as you use heat to curl your hair, Jessica uses heat to curl her lashes. She puts the curler in front of a hair dryer to heat it up. Make sure to check the temperature with your palm before you go straight into the curling!
You can literally find an eyelash curler anywhere, but we cover the most popular types in Korean beauty. For those who are always on the go, take The Face Shop’s travel size curler for easy convenience! Innisfree sells basic eyelash curlers for a very reasonable price. Lastly, you can find Kiss Me’s Heroine Make Eyelash Curler at Olive Young. Kiss Me is a Japanese brand, but its curler has been at the top of the best seller list in Korea for ages!
