K-Pop Girl Group GFriend Members Receive Death Threat From Japan
According to South Korean news agency Insight, an anti-fan of K-Pop girl group GFriend threatened to kill member EunHa, UmJi, and SinB.
The threats were made on the 11th under the ID name ‘Yura Kireev‘ while UmJi and SinB were connecting with fans through a live streaming session on V App. Netizens have been speculating that the threats were most likely written by a non-Korean.
‘Yura Kireev’ initially repeatedly wrote threat messages directed towards member EunHa.
But later on, UmJi and SinB began to receive the same threats as well.
Yura Kireev’s notoriety is well known by GFriend fans while several death threats have been made to the girl group in the past before as well. Many fans have been concerned and believe that Yura Kireev’s behavior isn’t merely a bad joke and should be taken seriously, especially with GFriend’s Japan debut date set in the upcoming month of May.
Should GFriend fans be worried? Or is Yura Kireev just playing a really bad joke on the girls? Feel free to share your thoughts.
