K-Pop Girl Group That Hasn’t Eaten Carbs In 3 Years

Imagine not eating carbs for three whole years. Such is the case with K-Pop girl group LABOUM.

The girl group recently sat down for an interview with SBS Power FM to talk about their comeback single ‘Firework’.

But what really caught the attention of everyone was their difficult and strict diet.

The girl group members talked about how they craved pig’s feet and wanted to host mukbangs, a video where they eat various types of food and talk about random topics while subscribers watch them eat and listen to what they have to say.

Unfortunately, LABOUM have been on a strict diet for three whole years. They avoided eating carbs throughout all those years.

While it is admirable that they are dedicated to their careers which recommends a strict diet in some cases, it is also concerning at the same time.

What do you think about LABOUM’s strict diet?

All the people who don’t know anything comes out of the woodwork to comment. Before you comment on what you think how about you go read or watch material/research papers that was not paid by the sugar industry on the topic. Your opinion is not fact.

Carbs? Who needs carbs? It’s just sugar and sugar is what makes us fat. Eat fats Laboum and more Pigs Feet. Lipids and Protein is best, with some fruits(fructose is sugar yes), and Veggies.

more people should avoid carbs – they are basically empty calories. I hope they’re eating lots of meat – and why no pig’s feet? – that’s not carbs!

I think they look unhealthy in photos, without having to even know this.

Also, carbs are what give you energy. This is beyond unhealthy and not something to boast about. With the career they have they NEED energy, so this is beyond ridiculous.
It makes their company sound very bad and not respect worthy. More attention than this article current has needs to be brought to the attention of enough people that it would force the company to fix their error right now.

Look, you’re obviously stuck on your ketogenic diet, so don’t go talking out your ass, my dear. Firstly, not everyone’s pancreas can create enough insulin to deal with their blood sugar after eating, related to your “the body is capable of creating enough glucose”. That’s fine, but that does not mean it is healthy for everyone. It does not mean your body does not need grain and it’s a fact that carbs give energy. You don’t even know that the body burns carbs to use as energy? If you do, then you shouldn’t have even tried attacking me because that… Read more »

Don’t talk out of your ass when you don’t know anything about nutrition. When you were a baby your main energy source were ketone bodies, fats, my dear. The body is capable of creating enough glucose that you need.

Exactly, especially as they perform very physically straining activities, they should get some energy or they’ll collapse on stage. It’s kinda concerning how many people in the comments say that sugar is a bad thing, because it’s not.

Hhheeellloooooo, obviously it’s concerning! Have you looked at ZN? I feel bad for her. I’m pretty sure she goes through a lot of body shaming that’s why she’s a twig now.

It’s ok if they are on a diet but no carbs? I hope they will stay healthy

No hate, but does the company really think that extreme dieting is somehow going to launch these girls up to #1? I know Korea has crazy skinny standards, but being skinny isn’t the only thing that counts in the music industry. Their company should focus on their music and promotions, not what they’re eating. Let these poor girls live a little.

THAT’S NOT GOOD AT ALL. that’s so insanely unhealthy and harsh and not to mention its made even worse by the intense amount of dancing/practicing and performing they do and fans that look up to them such as younger ones may be influenced to do the same. it’s not healthy or safe for everyone and is a reason for concern. when i saw the title i thought it would be a really small group from a really small company but i was surprised to find this out as laboum is on the underrated/small side but still rather well-known. anyways, i… Read more »
