Kpopmap Fan Interview: A Filipino FOR X Talks About Her Favorite Group OMEGA X And Her Bias JaeHan

There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other’ stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other.

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

 

Andrea from the Philippines is the next fan to answer our questions. She is a fan of OMEGA X, and particularly of JaeHan. Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

 

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hi! I am Andrea, from the Philippines.

 

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I knew OMEGA X since pre-debut because it was announced by Spire Entertainment’s former Business Supervisor (now a CEO of Keystone Entertainment) that they will debut a group called OMEGA X and that the members are from inactive groups/survival programs. I anticipated for this hoping that my favorite artists from those groups will be one of the members. So eventually, I entered the fandom and anticipated for their debut, until now that they’ll have their June comeback.

 

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

They are unique. I love the fact that the members did not give up and tried their best to grab this chance to join OMEGA X. Their music is very diverse and receives much love internationally. The lyrics are well written and as a fan, I can relate to some of their songs.

 

Who caught your attention at first and why?

Hyuk really caught my attention at first the first time I watched their reality show, “Loading One More Chanx”, because of his amazing humor.

 

Who is your bias, and why?

This is the hardest question as a FOR X honestly. My current bias is JaeHan because of his voice. I can listen to him singing 24/7 and I won’t ever get tired hearing his voice. He can pull off any genre! My bias line is JaeHan, Hyuk, YeChan or should I just mention the whole group? Because all of them are really bias material. No doubt!

 

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

I recommend listening to ‘Love Me Like’, their latest album.

 

As for the B-side, ‘YOUNGER’ and ‘LIAR’ are a must-listen song!

 

 

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers?

I recommend watching Hyuk’s VLive because he’s been doing guitar covers of different songs. He has done TREASURE’s ‘Jikjin’, Stray Kids’ ‘Maniac’, Pentagon’s ‘Can You Feel It’ / ‘One Shot’ and many more!

 

 

Can you also do the same type of recommendation for the group?

Their first reality show, “Loading One More Chanx”, is a must-watch!

 

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

My favorite lyrics that cannot leave my mind is from YOUNGER
“Stay younger
When all things were pure
Let’s go back to whеn we were youngеr” because I can really relate to this since I am in the phase of my life where adulting hits really hard, the age when most of us are confused and worried about the future.

 

Are there any words from the members you would like to share?

I really love it when YeChan said on his speech during the awarding of Rookie of the Year at SMA, “Don’t give up”. That’s when I realized I have to do better. OMEGA X has become one of my strong inspirations to keep moving forward.

 

What is your favorite group/bias’ influence on your daily life?

Stanning OMEGA X made me continue studying the Korean language. They are my happy pill! I am so stressed at work but OMEGA X has been my escape.

 

What is your favorite side of fangirling/fanboying?

I have met great friends! They are the best and it’s really fun to have people with the same interest as me. What’s more fun is the photocard trading! ㅋㅋ

 

What type of concept do you prefer: cute, dark, sexy, etc?

I want them to try a summer vibe/refreshing concept.

 

What is your best souvenir with your favorite group until now?

My signed album and signed polaroid!

What’s your favourite 2022 moment involving your bias?

When I had my first fancall (online fansign event) with OMEGA X! I would never forget about this, the time I was talking with JaeHan was one of the best!

 

Name a variety show/content show that you would love to see your bias on? Tell us why.

I want to see them on “Weekly Idol” because it’s a great variety show to know more about OMEGA X and I think it would be amazing to see them having fun! I also want them to be on “it’s Live”! Their vocals are out of this world so I am sure they’ll nail the live performance.

 

If you could spend the day with them, what would you want to do together?

Just a casual walk with our pets and of course I will never forget to take a picture for memories!
