        INFINITE's L has been acting under his real name Kim MyungSoo. He started acting early in his idol career. He debuted in 2010 as an idol and in 2011 as an actor. His actor's image has completely changed since his debut.

        His first attempt in acting in the Japanese drama "Jiu: Keishichou Tokushuhan Sousakei" was not that good (I mean, who is good in his first project?). However, it is now 2020 and Kim MyungSoo is now an appreciated lead actor. Step by step, he improved and he is now recognized for his good acting. With his new drama starting next week "Meow, the Secret Boy", it is time to look back on how Kim MyungSoo has built his acting career to be successful.

        1- "Jiu: Keishichou Tokushuhan Sousakei" (2011), a cute and awkward start

        In the Japanese drama "Jiu: Keishichou Tokushuhan Sousakei", Kim MyungSoo debuted his acting career by playing criminal Jiu. It was an awkward yet cute start for the idol. But, who is perfect from the beginning? It was just one year after his debut and a drama filmed in a foreign language.

        His scene screaming "I'm here" ended up being a joke between members and INSPIRIT. He has been teased a lot for this scene.

        2- "Shut Up! Flower Boy Band" (2012), A start as a supporting role

        INSPIRIT probably all heard about this drama, "Shut Up! Flower Boy Band". Kim MyungSoo got the role of one member of the indie rock band at the center of the story. He was the guitarist and the "Ice Prince".

        Kim MyungSoo got an important supporting role and earned experience with this drama where he got some main scenes such as beating up the lead character acted by SungJoon.

         

        3- "My Lovely Girl" (2014) - Leaving the rookie actor image

        In "My Lovely Girl", Kim MyungSoo was an idol who was part of the love triangle with Rain and Krystal. He was a tsundere. MyungSoo's acting was less the one of a rookie and managed the role quite well.

         

        4- "The Emperor: Owner Of the Mask" (2017) - The beginning of a change

        It is for sure with the historical drama "The Emperor: Owner Of the Mask" that Kim MyungSoo's acting started to show a neat improvement. This is also with this drama that he was awarded with two awards and nominated for four.

        In the drama, he was the second lead male character, a commoner asked to pretend to be the king.

         

        5- "Ms. Hammurabi" (2018) - A start to recognition with first lead role

        With "Ms. Hammurabi", Kim MyungSoo proved that he is worthy of being the main lead with his role as an elite judge. Viewers started to recognize him as a good actor with his first lead.

         

        6- " Angel’s Last Mission: Love" (2019) - Fixed his image of a good lead

        In  "Angel’s Last Mission: Love", Kim MyungSoo showed off a variety of emotions while acting as an angel. He was able to connect with the viewers with solid acting skills.

        With "Angel’s Last Mission: Love", Kim MyungSoo received a lot of awards including Best New Actor at 12th Korea Drama Awards and at 2019 KBS Drama Awards. He fixed his image of being a good lead.

         

        Upcoming- "Meow, the Secret Boy" (2020)

        Kim MyungSoo is ready for a new drama that will most probably bring him even more popularity.

        “Meow, the Secret Boy” or “Welcome” is a fantasy romantic comedy drama based on a webtoon of the same title. It tells the love story of HongJo (Kim MyungSoo) a cat that turns into a man and SolAh (Shin YeEun) a woman who is like a puppy. The drama will start airing on Mar. 25 on KBS.
