Made in Korea: TaeYeon & Banila Co. Takes Over Seoul’s Line 2 Metro
Banila Co. is a South Korean cosmetic company that was founded in 2005. They are known for their effective base makeup products and have branches in China, Taiwan, the Phillippines, and Japan.
It is owned by F&F, and has a long history of endorsing K-Pop idols and singers. Some notable idols and Hallyu stars that were previously endorsed by Banila Co. are actress Min HyoRin, HyoRin (SISTAR), Jessica (Girls’ Generation), Roy Kim, and Song JiHyo.
The current official model for Banila Co. is none other than TaeYeon of Girls’ Generation. She has been the face of Banila Co. since September 2016. Her princess-like and youthful beauty goes well with Banila Co.’s colorful and trendy vibe.
For TaeYeon fans and Banila Co. enthusiasts, the month of November is a month that adds one more thing to do on the to-do checklist. The cosmetics company and their official model TaeYeon, have taken over metro train number 268 in Seoul. The specific subway train is on line 2 (green line), and images of TaeYeon and Banila Co. can be seen all over the walls and floors inside the train.
The subway train was first re-decorated on October 26th. The floor pattern and Banila Co. visuals are set to remain visible only throughout the month of November this year, which means anyone who wishes to see it first hand should keep the time period in mind.
Line 2 of Seoul’s metro is a subway line that encircles all the main districts of the city. Unlike other subways that start from one district and ends at the end of another in a horizontal or diagonal path, line 2 rotates around the city. It is the green line on the Seoul Metro map.
