Made In Korea: Inside Jeju Island’s Coca-Cola Themed Cafe
You might think you like Coca-Cola, but you probably don’t like it as much as the owner of this place!
Located near Jeju’s Hallim Beach, Cafe Cola is a theme cafe that is literally lined with all things Coke. From discontinued Coca-Cola brand novelty products to vintage advertisements and bottles, it is much more than just a cafe. It’s like a privately owned Coke museum!
The interior is literally covered in Coca-Cola’s bright red and white color scheme, and each room holds even more interesting Coke-related things to look at.
The iconic soft drink itself made its way to South Korea in the 1970s, when the Coca-Cola Company first teamed up with local manufacturer Doosan to distribute the beverage in cities all over the peninsula.
If visiting Cafe Cola, there is plenty besides Coca-Cola to choose from on their menu. Other items include espresso-based beverages, teas, ice cream, and other desserts. However, for the Coke fans, guests can choose from Coca-Cola in a can, glass bottle, or aluminum bottle.
Cafe Cola also has their very own Coke-based house specialty – the Coffee Cola. The drink is a slushy combination of Coca-Cola and an iced Americano, making for an interestingly robust combination that’s been described as “more delicious than you’d think!”
For those looking for a unique souvenir, you might not be all too surprised to know that the cafe has plenty of Coke brand merchandise for sale – ranging from glasses and tumblers to bottle openers, keychains, and more!
So if you’re a Coca-Cola fan, be sure to add this to your Jeju travel bucket list ASAP!
