The “MBC Gayo Daejejeon”, which was previously scheduled to air as a live broadcast on December 31st, was ultimately postponed due to the tragic plane crash in South Korea. In light of this, event officials announced that the music festival would instead become a pre-recorded event aired at a later date as a sign of respect for the victims as the country entered into a period of mourning.
Now, the wait is finally over, as an update has been posted onto the music festival’s official website – “MBC Gayo Daejejeon” will be broadcasted during the Seollal holiday. Split into two parts, Part 1 will be broadcasted on January 29th at 5:25 PM KST, with Part 2 happening on the following day, January 30th at the same time. Global fans will still have the ability to watch the music festival through various means. International viewers can look forward to watching the “MBC Gayo Daejejeon” through streaming options such as the IDOLCHAMP App and “MBC Gayo Daejejeon” official website (muniverse.kpopmap.com). Despite the format change and new broadcast date, the music festival will still be accessible to fans from across the globe.
