MBK Entertainment To Re-Appeal For The Trademark Of T-ARA
On August 8th, it was announced that MBK Entertainment application for the ownership of the trademark of T-ARA has been rejected by Korean Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS).
According to KIPRIS, it was revealed that MBK Entertainment will only be allowed to use the name if there is agreement between the members of T-ARA.
With the rejection from KIPRIS, MBK Entertainment has also announced officially that they will be submitting more documents to fight for the trademark of T-ARA. It is known that there will be a total of 4 times which a party can submit appeal for re-evaluation after the case is rejected. Currently, MBK Entertainment is left with 3 more chances.
Previously, it was known that CEO of MBK Entertainment wishes to retain the trademark as he did not want only the members of T-ARA to own the name since the company also worked hard for the girls’ success.
