K-Pop idols are already known for their insane talents in the idol industry. They can sing, dance, compose, choreograph, speak multiple languages and more. While many of these talents are well known by fans, what about the more unique talents that you would never think of?

From athletic talents to otherworldly ones, we've made a list of 15 idols with unique talents that you may or may not know about. See if any of these talents are shocking to you!

 

1. TWICE's DaHyun

TWICE's DaHyun is the group's mood maker and an insanely talented K-pop idol! Her unique talent is  that she is known for her amazing flexibility!

 

2. ATEEZ's JongHo

ATEEZ's JongHo is the group's maknae and an amazing vocalist in the K-Pop world. However, he has quite an interesting and unique talent. JongHo can break fruits apart with his bare hands! Sticking to his brand, he even sometimes sings while breaking fruits such as apples and melons.

 

3. BTOB's SungJae

BTOB's SungJae is an actor, charming vocalist, and master imitator. In the video, his pigeon impression was spot on!

 

4. BLACKPINK's Rosé

BLACKPINK's Rosé's talent might shock you if you only know the singer for her velvety vocals. She can twist her wrist 360 degrees, we were shocked when we saw it!

 

5. SEVENTEEN's WooZi

SEVENTEEN's WooZi is not only a talented singer, producer, and composer, he also plays the clarinet! He is already known for being skilled in other instruments like piano and guitar, so it's no shock that he also mastered another one.

 

6. EXO's D.O

EXO's D.O knows how to tap dance and this can also be seen in the movie "Swing Kids". He's already known for his acting talent so this is an additional plus to him!

 

7. 2PM's JunHo

2PM's JunHo can break a pair of chopsticks with his butt! We're unsure how he found out he could do this but it's still unique and a funny talent.

 

8. ENHYPEN's SungHoon

ENHYPEN's SungHoon is a figure skater and he was a competitive skater before his K-Pop career! Although he does not skate as often, every time people see a video of him skating it amazes them.

 

9 - 10. NCT's Kun

NCT's Kun is the group's daredevil. Not only does he skydive but he holds a pilot license too! He's also known as the group's magician. We think he'll definitely continue to learn many more risky talents.

 

11. ONEUS's KeonHee

ONEUS's KeonHee can do an echo effect with his voice and he demonstrates it near the beginning of this video!

 

12. MAMAMOO's Solar

MAMAMOO's Solar knows how to pole dance and showed off her skills at the"MAMA Awards". This isn't often seen in K-Pop!

 

13. MONSTA X's HyungWon

MONSTA X's HyungWon knows how to DJ and sometimes puts on a show at concerts! Many fans enjoy the uniqueness of his talent.

 

14. GOT7's Jackson Wang

GOT7's Jackson Wang is a fencer and was a professional fencer before he joined the group! His skills are so impressive that he even participated in Youth Olympics for the sport.

 

15. (G)I-DLE's SoYeon

(G)I-DLE's SoYeon is a woman of many talents, one of them being she can fit her entire fist in her mouth! She's a beauty on stage and a huge jokester when off of it.

It seems mandatory for a K-Pop idol to study music, dance, or any entertainment-related subject in university. But we're wrong to think this way. After all, K-Pop idols mostly foster their natural talent, and many of them got to where they are now without taking any classes related to their idol career during their university years.

Many K-Pop idols are very knowledgeable about various subjects, and that could be due to their university major. While it seems like surprising majors for K-Pop idols, those are very common majors for others. Business, law, or even tourism, we hear about those majors all the time, but we never thought that these 9 K-Pop idols studied that back in university.

 

1. DAY6's Young K - Business Administration

If you know of the band Day6, you probably never imagined that one of their members majored in business administration. Young K did, adding another talent on top of the others. He graduated from DongGuk University, and even if this college offered film or other entertainment-related majors, Young K followed a different path. But it still led him to us in the end.

 

2. SF9's InSeong - Communication

Considering SF9 members' very diverse personalities, you probably expected one of them to have had a unique major back in university. InSeong majored in communication at KyungHee University. This probably explains why he is so good at English, after all, language is the first form of communication!

 

3. SUPER JUNIOR's HeeChul - Tourism English & Translation / Computer Data and information

You read that correctly, HeeChul did not pick one but two unique majors, one after another at SangJi University. So many years of studying in different fields, and yet he ended up debuting as an idol. HeeChul sure worked very hard all those years. And even if the knowledge he acquired in university is not part of his current work, he can be proud of these achievements.

 

4. 2PM's TaecYeon - Business Administration

Here is another K-Pop idol who majored in Business Administration, but at DanKook University this time. And maybe this is why he was able to expand his career to acting and such, along with his talent, of course. But now, we know why he always had such a strong and COE-like aura.

 

5. Eric Nam - International Studies / Asian Studies

Not only did Eric Nam have a unique major for a K-Pop idol, but he also did not study in Korea. As you may know, Eric Nam is American, and he lived overseas before becoming a K-Pop idol. And probably he did not always imagine becoming one considering he majored in International studies and minored in Asian studies at Boston University. Eric Nam was always hard-working and in look for more knowledge, maybe it's why he ended up hosting a podcast as well.

 

6. BLACKPINK's Rosé - Law

While Rosé is now a shining star, you probably never imagined her judging people guilty or innocent, though, it could have happened. Indeed, Rosé used to study Law back at the Australian National University. She too studied abroad, and that explains why her English is so good. But now, we know that if Rosé shows a very lovely side to her fans, she probably can be very strict and partial given her knowledge of the laws.

 

7. ONEUS' LeeDo - Early Childhood Education

If you aren't a fan of the group, ONEUS' LeeDo's major back in college might surprise you. With his deep voice, big charisma, and fierce look, LeeDo can be very intimidating, yet it is just a prejudice, because he is a very soft person on the inside, and his college major can prove it. If LeeDo didn't become a K-Pop idol, he would have been out there, teaching kindergarten or elementary students. Yes, LeeDo studied Early Childhood education back in university and as we saw during his appearance on "The Return Of Superman", he has a way with children.

 

8. GOT7's YuGyeom - Modeling

YuGyeom always had very impressive and good-looking visuals. His aura is also quite strong, giving him the perfect model look, and maybe it is. no coincidence. He and his fellow GOT7 member YoungJae both studied modeling. That explains why YuGyeom always looks so good in pictures, and why his stage presence is always on-point. He studied all that, and seeing the results, we guess he was doing great in college.

 

9. MAMAMOO's Solar - Tourism

Last but not least, here is a female idol you probably wouldn't have guessed studied Tourism back in university. Solar, with her angelic and unmatched voice, studied tourism, meaning that instead of hearing her voice in concerts, we could have ended up listening to her voice during city tours! It is almost impossible to imagine missing out on such an incredible talent. Lucky for us Solar ended up pursuing an idol career, this way we got to enjoy her harmonious voice for hours and hours, even without being a tourist.
