The graduation system in K-Pop community has been an on going thing among some K-Pop groups for some time and it is definitely not the best thing for fans. Unfortunately, the system also applies to NCT DREAM.
On Nov. 16 and 17, NCT DREAM held for the first and maybe the last concert together as a group in Jang Choong Gymnasium. NCTzen who was present during the concert could not help but have a bittersweet feeling as they were finally able to witness their concert as a group.
NCT DREAM has a graduation system such that those after age 20 would have to 'leave' the group. Previously, Mark had also graduated from NCT DREAM and is currently active as a member in SuperM, NCT 127 and NCT U.
Members Jeno, HaeChan, JaeMin and RenJun will be graduating whereas ChenLe and JiSung will remain.
With that being said, NCTzen began to trend hashtags on Twitter such as #그림_고정해 (Fix DREAM) which can be understood as making NCT DREAM a fixed group.
Even on Korean search portal, Naver, many were also searching about making NCT DREAM a fixed group. NCTzen do not want to see the members leave and love the fact that they are a group like this.
NCT DREAM is also by far the best selling NCT sub unit in terms of physical album sales. They had sold more than 250,000 copies of "We Boom" when they made a comeback earlier back in July.
With the numerous amount of love and support they are receiving from NCTzen, many are truly hoping that SM Entertainment would be looking out for the fans as well as the future of NCT DREAM.
What do you think is going to happen to NCT DREAM after the end of 2019?
