Netizens Angry Upon Hearing BIGBANG T.O.P Being Discharged From Military Earlier Than Scheduled
The new military regulations and rules have been applied to BIGBANG member T.O.P, meaning he will be discharged from the military on July 8th, with his original discharge date having been some time in August.
According to the Yongsan District City Hall, the justification for the K-Pop idol’s early dismissal from the military is in compliance with the new regulations applying to military social workers, which reduced a total of twenty seven days of service.
While fans are currently glad to hear that their idol will soon be out, netizens have been quick to criticize the K-Pop idol, bringing up his past marijuana incident as well.
Below are some of the criticisms from netizens.
“This guy went on vacation leave f***loads of times, and now he gets discharged earlier? f*** Who’s pulling strings for your. HyunSuk’s got a lot of power.”
“You should say bye to the entertainment industry unless you want live your whole life eating criticisms.”
“He paid 12000 KRW for a probation and even went as a social worker lol Can ordinary citizens pull this off by smoking marijuana?”
“I’m reminded of the saying that the bad guys sleep at night better.”
“Don’t come out, I used to be a VIP but I hope to never see you again on TV.”
However, no matter how many reasons netizens may have to hate on T.O.P and criticize him, they should also keep in mind that the early discharge date would most likely be applied to all the other ordinary citizens of South Korea who are currently serving in the military, meaning that the recent news is most likely not a case of preferential treatment.
