Netizens Compared Ratings For "Weekly Idol" And "Idol Room" After MC Changes

Did you know that before JTBC "Idol Room" began airing in May 2018, Defconn and Jung HyungDon were the original MCs for MBC "Weekly Idol"? It was noted that Yoo SeYoon, Kim ShinYoung, and Lee SangMin took over their spot.

After the MCs had changed, netizens noticed something rather significant in terms of viewers' ratings for both "Weekly Idol" and "Idol Room".

"Weekly Idol" only has 0.3% of viewer ratings for their most recent episode!

Apart from the fact that Red Velvet was their latest guest, the number of views for their clips on Naver TV accounted to less than 10,000 on average.

"Idol Room" has slightly higher viewer ratings of 0.8% for their latest episode but has way higher views for their clips on their Naver TV channel!

According to the data provided by Leevi, it was noticed that the popularity of TV programs was topped by MBC "I Live Alone", JTBC "Knowing Brothers" and finally "Idol Room".

Netizens were surprised by the low ratings of "Weekly Idol" as it used to be one of MBC's top programs. With the departure of the original MCS, some netizens found the show less interesting and was 'not the same'.

What do you think "Weekly Idol" should do to increase their ratings?
