On April 15, Cube Entertainment had announced that they will be debuting a new girl group 3 years after (G)I-DLE.
They will be called LIGHTSUM and set to debut sometime in the first half of 2021.
However, other information such as the number of members was not released but many netizens are already looking into the group themselves.
Below is a list of trainees who they believe would be part of LIGHTSUM.
Note: These are just speculations from netizens.
1. Han ChoWon

Many would recall Han ChoWon who had appeared on Mnet "Produce 48". She had impressed many with not just rapping skills but also her soothing and pleasing vocals.
When she did not make it into the final lineup, many of her fans were disappointed. However, it looks like the time has come and fans who have been waiting for a long time would be able to see her debut soon.
2. Lee JooHyeon

Lee JooHyeon had participated on KBS "The Unit" and impressed many with her stunning performance. She was only 13 years old (Korean age) during the time of participation and many believed that she has the potential to become an even more amazing artist.
As she is training under Cube Entertainment, many also believe that she would be part of the lineup of LIGHTSUM.
3. Kim NaYoung

Some might be surprised to learn that Kim NaYoung might be on the lineup for LIGHTSUM.
Many would recall that she was a trainee from Banana Culture but after the company had closed, many of her fans were not sure which company she entered next. One reason why many are guessing that she is on the lineup is because of the dance practice videos that Cube Entertainment had released on their rookie Instagram account.

4. Lee YooJung

You might also recall Lee YooJung who had appeared on "Produce 48". She was originally a trainee under CNC Entertainment and said to have moved to STARDIUM Entertainment sometime later.
However, as the debut plan fell out it was also rumored that she entered Cube Entertainment as a trainee.
Once again, through the dance practice video, many are guessing that one of the members is Lee YooJung.
