Netizens haven't been too impressed with the way YG Entertainment has been handling competition from JYP Entertainment and Big Hit Entertainment.
According to what's circulating around on various online communities, it turns out that YG Entertainment CEO Yang HyunSuk spread news editorials of BLACKPINK when TWICE made their comeback, up to fifteen different news agencies, so that BLACKPINK would show up more on the search results when people searched for TWICE.
In addition, news reports that BLACKPINK were outperforming BTS after the release of Love Yourself: Answer also circulated online. However, the reports were based on information compared with BangTanTV and not BTS's official YouTube channel.
But it's not just netizens who have criticized the entertainment CEO but even BLACKPINK fans as well. BLACKPINK fans apparently feel that such behavior only brings detrimental effects to their idol group and it's not exactly something that they'd want as the girl group arguably made their most successful comeback in a long time.
