Netizens Say IZ*ONE Dance Skills Look Like Messy J-Pop Girl Group’s

IZ*ONE are currently being criticized for having, according to netizens, sloppy choreography that reminds them of typical Japanese girl groups.

Netizens have stated that K-Pop girl groups have synched choreography skills and are not like Japanese girl groups where none of the members can dance together in sync.

But since it’s South Korean netizens that we are talking about, it’s actually not surprising that they are making the whole issue about politics as well. South Korea and Japan have always been enemies and recent times are hardly any different as South Koreans are banning anything related to Japan.

Meanwhile, IZ*ONE members’ agencies as well as ‘Produce 48’ are under investigations for an alleged vote rigging that took place in the survival program.

You can check out the video clip below to see IZ*ONE’s recent performance.

100% its the camera angle making this routine look unorganised.. any half wit can see that .. and people need to realise there promoting in japan to cater for the japanese market .. and its working just take a look at their japanese record sales .. 200,000 + like the saying goes .. if it aint broken dont fix it !

That because of to many members on the group.?But they still doin’ their thing right though

Shame for loona to be compared with a group that only had very short span of training days and most of them weren’t trained to be kpop idols yet they still did agreat. Huh.

Thats so true but loona also has alot of members and they dance flawlessly dont get me wrong but izone is amazing but i just found their choreo messy? Theres just alot of things going on at once so its quite hard to focus

Who are you? What do you want? Why this shit site keeps writing bad things about izone in their article lately? Don’t touch my girls! their choreography is their own business, messy? This fancam from their japanese song, Japanese songs have their own style in choreography aspect.

What did they expect? Their producer for their Japanese songs is Yasushi Akimoto, the cleverest businessesman yet the worst music composer in J-pop, even by Idol J-pop standards. AKS cares more about mass-producing, if they wanted good quality Mnet should have partnered with Avex instead. That being said, it’s obvious Knetz are speaking merely out of bias. The choreography isn’t THAT bad and in any case, why are they not holding their 9 Korean members accountable too? You know, the ones who ACTUALLY received years of dance training unlike Jpop idols who have to learn on their own?? After all,… Read more »

yes! avex has so many amazing songs

Because the performers are not the ones at fault. I am not going to holding any of members accountable, Japanese or Korean because they aren’t the ones in charge of their music or choreography. It’s that simple.

I dont get it tbh its pretty freaking synchronized to me its also cos of the angle i think
also also that is 1 (one) stage of 1 (one) comeback you cant have 100% all the time. they probably performed this song a ton
if any other k girlgroup did this dance they probably wouldnt get it much more synchronized either

I have to agree with the title of the article and I honestly haven’t for a while now thought their music was as good. Everything is more Japanese style (even if 3 of the members are Japanese) and it’s not a good thing because Japan is known for not having the best music industry and it’s major known flaws. It shows. They’re suppose to be the great product of Produce 101 and it’s not there. La Vien Rose was amazing and even there following comeback was better than all of the most recent songs, the choreography is getting worse and… Read more »

*visually pleasing

– ran out of room and it wouldn’t let me edit (from first part).

Also, I don’t feel like continuing to go back and forth. You like it and there’s nothing wrong with that, even if I do feel you’re boded yourself and that’s why you’re blind to some things.

Continued #2: I’ve seen a lot of things over the course of several years, I don’t just see 10-15 things and make up my mind. Try taking a second look. Jpop acts especially the female ones, are almost always misogynistic. When groups are choreographed, they often have very simple, not very creative choreography. And many of the tunes have a similar sound to them. There’s a lot deeply rooted in there culture and it shows in their music. Not to mention their music videos and wardrobe. This same type of thing isn’t absent from the Korean industry, but doesn’t make up… Read more »

Continued: The choreography with many jpop acts if you look, are often not well done. If you want to see what those girls themselves said, then open your eyes for a moment and compare a Korean girl group to a Japanese one. The choreography is very different, not just the melody. Notice how many jpop groups change up their music styles a bit when they’re releasing a Japanese album in Japan vs a Korean one. The release something a little different that will definitely appeal. If you really can’t notice the different between Twice Candypop vs. Feeling Special, then idk… Read more »

The jpop industry isn’t exactly known for its music and choreography being to the same standard, that’s a fact, not bias. I wish they would step it up. Did you watch any of produce season 3? It doesn’t mean the people themselves don’t have the potential just as anyone else does, but the industry they come from is very different. Everyone has equal potential no matter who they are, I never said that they couldn’t now did I? Have you watched the previous season? The entire first half of the series did you see them talk about how the Korean… Read more »

Many kpop groups debuted in Japan because they think it’s that easy to milking money in that country. That’s the fact, the Japanese music industry really attractive to Korean agencies.

Lol, Japan has the 2nd biggest music industry in the world, wtf are you talking about? Idol J-pop is at the bottom sewer of Japan’s music industry, your bias is showing by generalising like this.

Guest
Guest

There’s a lot of movements/formations so it’s distracting but focusing on different sections help see that their in sync. Maybe not as a whole but better than being completely out of sync.

Its japanese not korean so what the deal..
