Netizens Say Kang Daniel’s Solo Debut Track Is Slightly Boring
Just recently after the release of former Wanna One member Kang Daniel‘s solo debut album ‘Color On Me’, music reviewer IZM, notorious for giving the harshest reviews in the K-Pop scene, reviewed the K-Pop idol’s song ‘What Are You Up To’.
According to IZM:
“It’s undeniable that Kang Daniel was rightfully the center position of Wanna One.”
True, Kang Daniel’s presence definitely catches the eyes of the audience. IZM went on to say:
“Because he was a rapper, it was expected that he would have difficulties singing.”
The track itself was described as a let down as IZM was hoping for an energetic track but ended up listening to a song that felt minimal and boring. But given that IZM has given some very harsh reviews in the past, netizens have actually agreed that the review on Kang Daniel’s single was actually “nice” and pointed out some agreeable opinions.
The review also did say that what was lacking in the song itself would most likely be made up for the live performance Kang Daniel could deliver.
Some comments that netizens have left were:
“I agree with the review but also hope that he’ll get better.”
“I’m sure this is the best he could have done with the vocal skills he has.”
“The song actually kind of was boring.”
“Wow, this is exactly what I thought..”
“I agree…Daniel shines more when in a group.”
“I strongly agree, it would have been better for him to be in a group.”
What is your opinion about Kang Daniel’s solo debut? Did it meet your expectations or do you think it could have been better?
