To say that the performance by Chiba Erii, Asai Yuka, and Sato Minami of BLACKPINK's Boombayahwas a huge disappointment would be an understatement.

Netizens were shocked to see the Japanese Produce 48 trainees unmotivated even before the performance as they seemed uninterested in putting in effort to give a good performance, despite Kang HyeWon and Han ChoWon's efforts to persuade them otherwise.

Netizens have blamed the three Japanese idol trainees for the disappointing results.

Afterall, the competition is strong and a team effort must be present if any idol trainee hopes to make it through up to the finals.

None of them chose to be in this team. Chowon didn't ask to babysit those kids. Hyewon had no experience with this kind of song either and certainly not with rap, and she wasn't acting like a spoiled, sulky brat, she took responsibility for the task, since they were in this together, and someone had to. This is why I don't think it's unfair to judge the Japanese trainees with the same standards as Korean trainees: just by acting like sulky children and crying enough on-screen, they can still get more votes from fans jumping in to rescue their precious… Read more »

Well the Netizens are a bunch of idiots ..virtually NO experience of this kinda of song and either no training or the wrong training to do any kind of a good job ...i just cant say how bad i feel for them, even the Korean trainees in the group didn't want it and not a single person in the group knew how to rap either ...just how the hell were they supposed to get motivated

You realize this is a competition? If they did not want to be there or continue they can just drop out and enjoy their sweet jpop fanbase. Also, they are a team. It's a huge disrespect to other members if they don't pull their weight. Even with cultural differences and lack of basic training, a contestant should show at least a willingness to try and improve.

you do realize that a lot of talented rappers cant sing either..right?? Like they get picked because they're really talented in certain areas. You don't expect main rappers to suddenly become ballad singers, do you???

Well if they want to be taken seriously, they should have acted like pros and showed they can handle anything. The fact is , they have no talent and it really shows through all of this. A true talented idol should be able to perform anything to a certain extent, not like these sluggish hopeless individuals.

The one song they didn't want to perform they were forced to. The Japanese idols aren't used to BP's sexy, hot style yet they tried their best and did quite well imo.
