Real Estate Agent In NYC Gets Fired For Making Racist Comment About BTS
BTS returned with their mini album “MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA” and title track ‘Boy With Luv’ feat. Halsey not long ago.
They had also made their comeback performance debut on NBC “Saturday Night Live” on Apr. 13 (local time). With that being said, fans were extremely excited and waited patiently for their stage performances.
However despite the excitement, some fans noticed that there were negative comments on Twitter about the boys. According to Brian Steinberg who is a senior TV editor on media outlet, Variety, he commented that “If any of these kids are actually singing I’ll eat the backstage llama”. Currently, this particular tweet post could no longer be found.
Below the tweet, one person named Brian, continued by saying “They look like kids. How old are they? Are Asian women even attracted to their own men?”.
Fans seemed to find the tweet offensive and racist and decided to take actions into their own hands.
One fan managed to find out that Brian was a real estate agent under Highline Residential in NYC and found it inappropriate for someone working in a diverse neighborhood and community to make such comment.
It looks like Highline Residential took immediate action about Brian and announced that they had officially terminated their relationship with him.
Some fans appreciated the action taken by Highline Residential and hoped that people would think twice before saying something that might be offensive to others.
BTS will be performing ‘Boy With Luv’ with Halsey on the upcoming Billboard Music Awards 2019 (BBMAs) with Halsey.
