"Forbes Korea" recently released a list of the top 20 highest-earning Korean celebrity YouTube channels. A whopping 16 out of the 20 channels were occupied by K-Pop artists and their YouTube channels.

The 11th spot was occupied by ASMR mukbang YouTuber SsoYoung. The 12th spot was taken by comedy channel Psick Univ. Spot number 15 was taken by famous Korean chef Baek JongWon's channel, and the 17th spot was taken by Korean model and comedian Hong JinKyung's channel. 

Here is a top 16 ranking of the remaining highest-earning K-Pop channels with data as of Sep. 1, 2021, and reasons to watch them.

 

1. BTS's "BANGTAN TV" 

Subscribers: 57.1 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 19.1 billion Won

Reason to watch: Not only is some of BTS's musical content on the channel, but they also post episodes of "Bangtan Bomb" which shows vlog-styled behind-the-scenes footage of the members along with other fun content.

 

2. BLACKPINK's Official YouTube Channel

Subscribers: 64.6 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 13.5 billion Won

Reasons to watch: The channel has all of the official BLACKPINK songs, some live performances, and even behind-the-scenes videos. They also sometimes post games and vlogs.

 

3. NCT DREAM's Official YouTube Channel

Subscribers: 3.95 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 2.2 billion Won

Reasons to watch: Get your dose of NCT Dream bops as well as other YouTube content such as reaction videos (to their own songs), unboxings, and much more.

 

4. SEVENTEEN's Official YouTube Channel

Subscribers: 6.85 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 1.9 billion Won

Reasons to watch: Besides some of their music content, SEVENTEEN has a number of series up on their channel, such as the popular "GOING SEVENTEEN". You can go on adventures with them in vlogs, get a behind-the-scenes look at what they do, and even watch some of their special music projects.

 

5. GOT7's BamBam's Official YouTube Channel

Subscribers: 1.07 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 1.7 billion Won

Reasons to watch: GOT7's BamBam has a lot of creative content on his channel such as reactions to other artists, lookbooks, and other behind-the-scenes looks at his work.

 

6. MAMAMOO's Official YouTube Channel

Subscribers: 6.07 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 1.7 billion Won

Reasons to watch: Along with the many MAMAMOO bops, their channel has very in-depth behind-the-scenes vlogs. You can watch the groups content and also their content as solo artists within the group.

 

7. EXO's Official YouTube Channel

Subscribers: 8.31 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 1.7 billion Won

Reasons to watch: EXO also has a lot of behind-the-scenes content mixed between their music videos. They also have a variety show "EXO Arcade" that has 2 seasons.

 

8. IU's Official YouTube Channel

Subscribers: 6.7 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 1.6 billion Won

Reasons to watch: Besides her music videos, IU creates a lot of content on her channel with big names such as famous actor Gong Yoo and the members of SHINee. Even the videos by herself are fun to watch.

 

9. aespa's Official YouTube Channel

Subscribers: 2.35 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 1.4 billion Won

Reasons to watch: aespa makes a lot of content surrounding their music releases, which is perfect if you can't get enough.

 

10. TXT's Official YouTube Channel

Subscribers: 7.55 million 

Estimated yearly earnings: around 1.1 billion Won

Reasons to watch: TXT has series on their channel for every content occasion. You can get to know the members well through their vlogs.

Subscribers: 4.41 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 782 million Won

Reasons to watch: Red Velvet's channel is full of content that reflects the members. You can really get a sense of their personalities.

Subscribers: 1.67 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 781.7 million Won

Reasons to watch: One of the charms of the LOONA channel is "LOONA TV" which is an ongoing series with over 700 videos. Make sure to check it out.

 

13. NCT's "NCT DAILY"

Subscribers: 4.21 million 

Estimated yearly earnings: around 501.4 million Won

Reasons to watch: On top of having an official YouTube channel, NCT also has a vlog/behind-the-scenes channel where you can get frequent doses of the members. Note: Recently they have moved away from posting on this channel and have been posting more content on their official channel (number 16 on this list).

 

14. Kim JongKook's "GYM JONGKOOK"

Subscribers: 2.12 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 426.4 million Won

Reasons to watch: Kim JongKook's channel focuses on his life in the gym and giving inspiration to other people who want to get fit. Although he is a singer, he is passionate about fitness, too. 

 

15. AKMU's Official YouTube Channel

Subscribers: 2.54 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 374 million Won

Reasons to watch: This is your go-to stop for all of AKMU's musical projects.

 

16. NCT's Official YouTube Channel

Subscribers: 4.22 million

Estimated yearly earnings: around 363 million Won

Reasons to watch: This is yet another channel where you can get to know all of the NCT members through various types of content. They do a lot of individual videos and a lot of the content is centered around sub-units.

 

BONUS: TWICE's Official YouTube Channel

Forbes Korea did not include TWICE in their list, but many netizens have pointed out that they likely deserve a spot. So, we've included them as a bonus. With the data we've gathered, TWICE would likely be in the 3rd spot of this ranking.

Subscribers: 11.6M
Estimated yearly earning: Between around 310 million Won and around 4.9 billion Won (according to SocialBlade)
