Some K-Pop idols may have had their careers beginning within the entertainment industry, but some have ultimately decided that it wasn't a path for them to continue taking.
In a sense, it doesn't seem like a bad decision at all as it allows them to stay away from the spotlight which usually brings a lack of privacy.
Below are a few idols who have pretty much retired for good.
Kim SungHee (Former KARA Member)
After debuting as a member of KARA back in 2007, she left the group in 2008. Although she has managed to stay out of the spotlight for many years, she appeared in news headlines in 2018 when her husband was imprisoned for refusing to serve in South Korea's mandatory military service.
SunYe (Former Wonder Girls Member)
After having been active as a member of one of K-Pop's most successful girl groups in the earlier days, SunYe's faith became a priority over her career as an idol. She married a missionary and and has been active herself in spreading the good news.
YulHee (Former LABOUM Member)
She married FT ISLAND member MinHwan and gave birth to a baby this year. It seems that now that she has a full family, she intends to live a quiet life away from the spotlight.
EunJin (Former DIA Member)
EunJin left DIA in May 2018 and has been taking time to recover her health. She is active on Instagram and seems to be taking it quite easy after leaving the girl group.
