Fans were excited to see that both Rocket Punch and Nam WooHyun will be appearing on the episode and could not wait for it especially since both are from Woollim Entertainment!
However, there were some who had seen the preview and were ‘offended’ by what member JuRi had said when she was asked about what she thought about INFINITE.
JuRi said in the preview that “INFINITE is a group from the past” and many felt that it was rude to say it especially when Nam WooHyun was present that time. Needless to say, some also mentioned that calling their own company’s senior a group from the past is offensive. For those who might not know, INFINITE debuted back in 2010.
On online communities, many netizens shared their thoughts about what they had seen in the preview of “Idol Room”.
One netizen shared that there is a chance that JuRi might not have known which vocabulary to use since she is Japanese and perhaps she was trying to express something else.
On the other hand, another argued that if INFINITE were a group from the past, why would they get Nam WooHyun to appear on “Idol Room” and support Rocket Punch since there is also two other groups under Woollim Entertainment after INFINITE. It was also mentioned that Nam WooHyun should also be busy preparing his solo concert that is happening on Aug. 10 and 11 but made time for them.
Some just felt that it was impolite of JuRi to have said something like that.
Of course, there are also netizens that defended JuRi saying that it might have been scripted and no one knows for sure what really had happened.
Rocket Punch will be debuting on Aug. 8 with their title track ‘BIM BAM BUM’.
