S. Korean Politician Demands Prosecution To Investigate Alleged Vote Rigging Of ‘Produce X 101’
It seems that the controversy and suspicions surrounding the alleged rigged votes of ‘Produce X 101’ is increasingly getting out of hand as a South Korean politician even stepped in and demanded the prosecution to investigate in to the matter.
While politicians usually do not get involved in the world of K-Pop, the issue definitely seems to be one that is raising a lot of red flags for many people.
Expert mathematicians have also given their opinion on the results saying that to get such results is virtually impossible, and the chances of the outcome coming out the way it did was zero.
Ha TaeKyung of the Bareun Mirae Party has stated the following below:
“The vote rigging scandal surrounding ‘Produce X 101’ is one that involves employment fraud and corruption. There have been several reports requesting for the truth to be revealed, which is why I personally looked in to the content.
It is highly likely that the votes have been distorted. From the 1st place to the 20th place, the votes were in multiples of 7944.44 and it was from 1st place (178 times) to 20th place (38 times). After consulting with mathematicians, it has been revealed that the statistical probability of these twenty numbers from first to twentieth to end up the way they did is zero. This suggests that the results were already decided in advance.
However, it is still unclear whether the manipulation of the votes had any impact on the actual ranking. This is something we won’t know until the actual results are revealed. The manipulation that took place in the survival program is obviously a case of fraud and corruption. The show has deceived and hurt viewers and fans who have supported their idol trainees.
The scandal also is a negative influence to the youth as it presents a distorted view on democracy. The case should be brought before the prosecution so that the truth may be revealed.”
