Valentine’s Day is celebrated in South Korea a little differently than in Western countries.
In South Korea, women give chocolates, sweets, and other goods to men on Valentine’s Day. So guys, if you’re living in South Korea, you don’t have to worry about preparing a special gift to your love on Valentine’s Day. However, men will have to eventually on March 14th, which is White Day, the equivalent to Valentine’s Day, except it’s the men who are giving chocolates to the women instead.
A survey conducted by a math education institute Sevenedu conducted a survey in which roughly 10,000 women voted for the male K-Pop star that they’d most want to give chocolates to on Valentine’s Day.
