K-Pop idol group SEVENTEEN, consists of thirteen highly talented and beautiful idols, MinGyu, JeongHan, Hoshi, WonWoo, S. Coups, JunHui, Vernon, Joshua, SeungKwan, Woozi, DK, MingHao, and Dino. But if you're new to K-Pop, you might be wondering why the group's name is SEVENTEEN, despite only having thirteen members.
Well, for starters, the group's name doesn't always have to reflect the number of members in the group.
And just recently on a teaser for an upcoming episode of 'Knowing Brothers', SooGeun asked:
"There's thirteen of you guys, then shouldn't you guys be called THIRTEEN?"
Well, Hoshi actually had quite an epic answer to this question. Hoshi could be seen stepping up and saying:
"Then do you expect Super Junior hyungs to be called Super Men??"
And just in case you were wondering why SEVENTEEN are called SEVENTEEN, the group consists of 3 sub units (hip-hop, vocal, performance), and has 13 members, and they all are under 1 group. Then if you add 3 + 13 + 1, that leaves us with...
SVT: Say the name! SEVENTEEN
Soogeun: shouldnt u be called thirteen?
Soonyoung: if its Super Junior are they Supermen!?
