Mnet

With the end of Produce 48, fans will probably be wondering about a couple of things. The first being what IZ*ONE will be up to during their time of activity and also what Produce Season 4 has in store for them as well.

According to South Korean news reports, Mnet has confirmed the production of the fourth season. Since IZ*ONE is a girl group, we can assume that the next idol group formed by the survival program will be a boy group, based on the show's pattern of switching genders season after season.

Should Produce Season 4 Mix Chinese Or Japanese Trainees?

Under the scenario that Produce Season 4 will be for a boy group, it wouldn't be a bad idea to mix up trainees from different countries. For example, China is currently a huge market that has yet to see show the full potential of K-Pop, and is already slowly producing idols of their own. Idol group Nine Percent is among one that instantly comes to mind. And given the enormous size of the Chinese market, from Mnet's perspective, it wouldn't be a bad idea to let China hop on to the program.

Japan is also no stranger to the K-Pop market as well. Though there is a stark difference between J-Pop and K-Pop, Japanese idols are also quite high in demand within the K-Pop industry as we can see from Japanese members in popular K-Pop groups such as TWICE.

Many fans have so far been saying that having Chinese idol trainees would be a better idea.

How do you think Mnet should create their next survival program? Feel free to tell us your thoughts!

Russians, Italians, Brits, Slovaks, Ukrainians, Serbs, Croats, Bulgarians, Portuguese, Turks,.. should be on the show to create the next idol group - IF THEY WANT REAL MEN

People are sick of seeing Asian faces!
It's 2018, diversity is a MUST.

...huh? It’s fucking KOREAN pop. If you want Europeans to make a pop group then by all means root for that. Makes no sense to have random nationalities pushed into the industry if they’re not already in a company in korea
