The Shinin Foundation was established by the parents of SHINee member JongHyun, who tragically took his own life back in 2017. Through the foundation, the now deceased K-Pop idol's mother expressed her intent on supporting young artists and musicians who are struggling.
Just recently, SM Entertainment, home agency of SHINee, donated $800,000 to the foundation, expressing their desire to help with their cause.
JongHyun passed away on December 18th, 2017.
