BigHit Entertainment Official

Spotify has released its 2024 South Korean Music Global Impact List, showcasing the top 30 tracks by South Korean artists that had the biggest global impact in the second half of 2024.

This list, based on international streams outside South Korea, highlights K-Pop’s immense influence on the global music scene while also recognizing emerging artists making waves worldwide.

BTS’ Jimin Leads the Pack as BTS Members Dominate

Topping the Global Impact List is BTS’ JiMin’s ‘Who,’ the most-streamed Korean track globally. Following closely are BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars’ collaboration ‘APT.’ at #2, with BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s ‘Mantra’ securing #3. Stray Kids’ ‘Chk Chk Boom’ landed at #4, while JiMin made a second appearance at #5 with ‘Be Mine.’

Notably, BTS members accounted for 10 of the 30 tracks on the list, further solidifying their global dominance even in solo careers. Alongside JiMin’s five entries, Jin secured three spots with ‘Running Wild’ (#6), ‘I’ll Be There’ (#8), and viral hit ‘Super Tuna’ (#23). Meanwhile, V appeared twice, charting with ‘Winter Ahead (with Park HyoShin)’ (#9) and the holiday single ‘White Christmas (with V of BTS)’ (#26).

BLACKPINK’s Rosé also made three appearances, including ‘number one girl’ (#13) and ‘toxic till the end’ (#15). Stray Kids contributed four tracks, while aespa, ENHYPEN, and KISS OF LIFE each claimed two spots.

Rookie Artists BABYMONSTER and MEOVV Make a Mark

While K-pop veterans dominated the list, newcomers BABYMONSTER and MEOVV made a strong global debut. BABYMONSTER’s tracks ‘FOREVER’ (#11) and ‘DRIP’ (#17) and MEOVV’s ‘MEOW’ (#30) highlight the growing global recognition of rookie artists.

BABYMONSTER, who was previously featured as Spotify’s RADAR Korea artist, benefited from the platform’s editorial support and promotional campaigns to boost their international reach.

Spotify’s Commitment to Korean Music’s Global Reach

“The 2024 South Korean Music Global Impact List serves as a key indicator of Korean music’s ever-growing influence,” said Park JungJoo, Spotify’s Head of Music, South Korea. “It’s exciting to see groups like BABYMONSTER and MEOVV break into the global scene alongside established stars. As Korean artists continue reaching new audiences worldwide, Spotify remains committed to supporting them on the global stage.”
