That is why these criteria have been made out of readers' opinions. We held a poll (here) and we opened an open discussion on Reddit (here). You've asked us to be stricter in our criteria and so here are the new rules.

. In a K-Drama, Netflix Original drama, or a movie: 

• Two lead roles (was clearly one of the main characters)

or

• One lead role and 2 supporting roles

or

• More than 4 supporting roles

. Guest roles can't be considered supporting roles

. Only dramas over 6 episodes (special and short dramas are excluded)

. Only movies released in Korean theaters (not just online) (with the exception of Netflix original movies)

. No web dramas (exception for Netflix)

K-Pop is a sea of diversity, containing idols from all sorts of different backgrounds. This includes different hometowns, different countries of origin, and even different religious faith. From Buddhism to Christianity, there are idols of various religions who populate the music scene.

Some idols have even revealed themselves to be from the Catholic faith. Regardless of whether they're active or unable to attend Mass due to conflicting schedules, they are given a baptismal name once they enter the church. These names have a deep and profound meaning, with some of these idols even using them as a basis for their stage name.

1. Son NaEun (Marcella)

Previously, when NaEun appeared on MBC's "Radio Star", she revealed that she was Catholic. NaEun's baptismal name is Marcella.

 

2. TWICE's ChaeYoung (Katarina)

During a trip to Switzerland, the group visited a Catholic church where ChaeYoung was seen praying for a brief moment. ChaeYoung's Catholic name is Katarina.

 

3. Apink's ChoRong (Lea)

Previously, on KBS' "Battle Trip", ChoRong had traveled to Croatia with fellow groupmate BoMi. There, they visited the Marija Bistrica Church where ChoRong took a moment to pray. ChoRong's baptismal name is Lea.

 

4. MAMAMOO's HwaSa (Maria)

HwaSa is very vocal about her baptismal name, as she even used it as a song title for one of her solo releases. HwaSa's baptismal name is Maria.

 

5. MAMAMOO's WheeIn (Gabriela)

WheeIn is another MAMAMOO member that is also Catholic. WheeIn was converted to the faith due to HwaSa while they were school classmates. WheeIn's baptismal name is Gabriela.

On a previous television broadcast, YuJu briefly spoke about her Catholic faith. YuJu's baptismal name is Angela.

BoA is dedicated to the Catholic faith. As an honorary ambassador for the 2014 Asia Youth Day, she even had the opportunity to meet with Pope Francis. Her baptismal name is Chiara.

“Hello Baby” was a highly popular reality show that ran from 2009 to 2013. Over seven seasons, the show featured popular groups including Girls’ Generation, SHINee, T-ARA, SISTAR and SUPER JUNIOR’s LeeTeuk, MBLAQ, B1A4 and Boyfriend.

The premise of the show followed K-Pop groups looking after young children to develop a bond with them and to learn about the experiences of parenthood. The idols are given little missions and they spend time together with the kids by playing, going out etc. There are also some elements of child psychology where the idols learn about how to understand a child’s mind and how to behave around them.

Recently, Girls’ Generation, who were on the first season of the show, reunited with Cho KyungSan who they looked after. They also met Jung YooGeun who was looked after by SHINee in 2010. Both the boys are now in their mid teens and growing into young adults. At first, the members had difficulty recognising them but once the boys told them who they were, they were shocked to see how much they had grown up and how much time had passed since then. 

It has been a decade since the last season of “Hello Baby”. Although the show is not making a return, there have been so many new groups that have debuted since. These are the four groups that would be a great fit for the show if it ever returned. 

 

1. ENHYPEN

ENHYPEN would be an amazing group to look after young children on “Hello Baby” because of their fun but genuine nature. There is already content where the ENHYPEN members interact with kids and we can see that they are very patient with them. Additionally, as a group, the members have a good blend between having a laidback attitude and taking on leadership when needed.

 

2. (G)I-DLE

(G)I-DLE would be a great girl group to have their own season of the show. The members all have sweet and caring personalities that would make kids warm up to them easily. They all love to have fun or have a laugh together as a group. Their energy and the ability to be a bit silly at times would allow children to be happy and relaxed with them.

 

3. Stray Kids

Many fans would agree Stray Kids would be great on “Hello Baby”. The members all know how to let themselves go and have a good time. Sometimes they can be really hilarious and crazy which allow children to enjoy their presence. As a group, they also have family-like chemistry so they would be able to cooperate well to develop good relationships with children.

 

4. Red Velvet

A lovely group to feature on the show would be Red Velvet. The Red Velvet members have such happy yet delicate and soft temperaments that would make them great carers of children. They have been seen plenty of times with children on previous shows and even teenagers. Through these instances, we can see that they would put children at ease around them.
