Tech N Stuff: Experience Wireless Digital At Its Finest With Samsung Gear IconX
The age of wireless digital gear is slowly beginning to take over more and more. Pretty soon, we’ll be asking ourselves what on earth the human race was thinking when using electronic devices with things called “wires” on them.
As you might have noticed on the streets recently, there is an increasing number of people who are abandoning earbuds with jacks for the wireless ones. And because of the trending direction of earbud technology these days, many brands have begun producing similar products. That leaves consumers with a lot of different options, which is good but also annoying since decisions have to be made. To skip such hassle, South Korean electronics empire Samsung has got you covered. Their Gear IconX is probably the most versatile wireless earbuds out on the market at the moment that has many features that other wireless earbuds don’t have.
As you can see, like most standard pairs of wireless earbuds, it has its own unique charging device that is also used to store them inside. Samsung’s Gear IconX comes in various different colorways including pink and grey.
While most users have been satisfied with the overall design, the downside of it is that the earbuds aren’t magnetically secured into the case and the case lid pops open fairly easily, meaning that your earbuds will most likely spill out if you drop the case.
How To Charge
There is a USB port that allows you to charge the charger. The LED lights will turn from red to green once it is done fully charging. The earbuds themselves can be charged just by being stored inside the charger and doesn’t require the charger to be connected to a USB port to another charger that charges the charger unless the battery life for the charger has been depleted.
The sound quality of the IconX is generally considered to be average. However, it does have five different EQ settings you can choose from to best suit your preference. You can choose from Bass Boost, Soft, Dynamic, Clear, and Treble Boost. The Ambient Sound option allows you to control the amount of ambient noise that the earbuds lets in or blocks out. Voice Focus option allows you to amplify the voices of other people around you.
Wireless Transfer option allows you to transfer music into your Gear IconX’s internal storage (4GB). No wires or cables required and you can also transfer multiple tracks at once.
With any wireless electronic device, the battery life is probably one of the most important feature anyone would look into before purchasing. Samsung’s Gear IconX has up to approximately 5 hours of playback from a full single charge.
