After 5 years, YG Entertainment will be debuting their latest boy group, TREASURE on Aug. 7 with their 1st single album "THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE".
TREASURE consists of 12 members and their debut is one of the most anticipated among many K-Pop fans in 2020 for many different reasons. Many would recall that the boys were selected after going through a survival program under YG Entertainment "YG Treasure Box" in 2018.
Initially, YG was supposed to debut TREASURE7 and MAGNUM6 as 2 different groups but after the decision of their previous CEO Yang HyunSuk, he had decided to combine the two groups together, making them TREASURE. Yet, prior to their debut, member YoonBin decided to leave after giving the reasons that the music was not the style which he is pursuing.

However, the debut of the boys was later delayed and pushed back as YG Entertainment suffered from numerous controversies as well as scandals. Many of their fans initially thought that their debut was going to be cancelled but after waiting patiently for them, YG had finally announced their debut plans as well as the exact date!
Throughout this time, many contents as well as music were also provided for their fans. From behind the scenes, episodes to even members interactions, fans are 'well fed' and also assured that their debut is really happening.
Not long ago, they had released a performance video, showing off their amazing dance skills with the song 'Wild For The Night'.
In addition, member Bang YeDam had also released his solo song 'WAYO' which allowed him to express the emotions and message which he wanted to deliver.
Many would recall that he is one of the longest YG trainees after coming in as the runner-up on SBS "K-Pop Star" Season 2. His skills and talents were already recognised by many and the only thing that fans were waiting for was his debut.
Finally, after more than a year of waiting, the boys of TREASURE will finally be standing on stage greeting their fans as K-Pop idols. If you have yet to check out the teaser video for their title track 'BOY', you should do so below.
'BOY' is said to be a track that will show off the youthful and energetic sides of the 12 boys. Fans can look forward to their performance as it has a strong beat and powerful dance break.
Back in July 29, YG Entertainment had started receiving pre-orders and in just more than a week's time, TREASURE had sold more than 170,000 copies of their albums! It is definitely an achievement for any rookie groups, proving the potential they have as a K-Pop group.

Earlier on Aug. 7, TREASURE had also held their media showcase, sharing their goals they have as a group. Small and simple, they hope that their debut single would be able to enter the Top 100 Melon Music chart when it is release at 6 PM KST.
TREASURE will also be saying Hi to their fans at 4 PM KST through their official V-Live channel for their debut countdown.
It may have taken TREASURE a long journey before their debut but from now, they are finally able to pursue their dream together as a whole.
