Top 10 Favorite OnlyOneOf Songs Selected By lyOn

OnlyOneOf, which debuted in 2019, has been active for 4 years up to this year releasing a lot of songs. With so many songs, we asked lyOn (fandom’s name) about their favorite OnlyOneOf songs.

Despite the short survey period of November 16 to 21, 107 responses were received. We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your cooperation, lyOn.

Research method:

10 songs selected by each person, and points are converted as 10 points for 1st place and 1 point for 10th place.

(Some of the answers had less than 10 songs selected.)

The survey form is available in Japanese, English, and Korean versions, and we were soliciting responses on OnlyOneOf Japan Fanbase Twitter account. We received 60 responses in Japanese, 44 in English, and 3 in Korean.

In the comment section of the questionnaire, we received many opinions saying that it was difficult to choose from all the songs they like. In fact, almost all OnlyOneOf songs, including solos and units, have points, and the results show that all songs are loved.

How many great songs they have released! We think this ranking can be recommended as a beginning guide for people who don't know OnlyOneOf yet. Let's have a look at the 10th most loved songs by lyOn!

10th place -  'savanna' - 197 points

'savanna' is the debut song of OnlyOneOf from "dot point jump" (May 28, 2019).

'savanna' is the debut song and the brightest among all boy group songs. It is deeply moving that OnlyOneOf started from this song.

'savanna' is beyond special to me. I'd been a K-Pop fan before discovering OnlyOneOf, but I always felt like I'd never found that group I considered above all others like everyone else seemed to have. Then I listened to 'savanna'. If I hadn't found that song and dove deeper into the group, I don't know what I would've done. OnlyOneOf are a truly special group to me, and it's all thanks to 'savanna'. Plus, it's, you know, a really amazing song even without the meaning behind it. I'd definitely consider it my favorite K-Pop song of all time.

'Sage' was the song that after listening to it for the first time I said "Ok I have to become their fan". It was on repeat for days because I couldn't stop listening to it!

I really like 'byredO''s melody, lyrics, and everything about the atmosphere. Not only this song, they have many songs with atmosphere that I want to listen to at night, and I love every song.

This song was included in "Produced by [ ] Part 1" (May 21, 2020).

This is the song that made me fall in love with OnlyOneOf. I accidentally heard this song on my subscription, and instantly fell in love with the pop melody and refreshing voice! have become. Ever since I first heard it, the chorus "You're my, you're my angel" has stuck in my head. Many of OnlyOneOf's songs have a calm and mature tone, but it's a real pleasure to see the members full of charm and smiles in angel's performance! When First Japan Live started with the first song, 'angel', I was really excited! No matter how many times I listen to it, my love for it never fades.

I really like 'libidO' because it's the song that made me meet OnlyOneOf (˶'ᵕ'˶)’

I think 'libido' is OnlyOneOf's signature song. This song has a unique and very different charm among many other K-Pop songs. Whenever I listen to 'libidO''s intro, I never get tired of it. I can't stand the exhilaration of the moment when I'm drawn into the world built of this song. It's one of my favorite songs.

2nd place - ‘얼음 과 불의 노래 (a sOng Of ice & fire)’’ - 415 points

At this time, all boys groups were making their comeback with strong songs with heavy bass, I still can't forget the feeling of sadness, speed, and transparency of this song that ran through my heart.

The dancing to a fast rhythm song with a highly difficult choreography have been just incredible. A dance song with a beautiful formation even from a bird's-eye view.

'a sOng Of ice & fire' gives me a serotonin boost every time I need it. It's just amazingly produced and I can't describe how amazing it is. It scratches that itch in my brain it's so good.

1st place - ‘dOra maar’ - 462 points

This song was included in "unknown art pop 2.1" (January 30, 2020).

'dOra maar' is a great song in multiple different aspects. The song is seductive, calm and catchy yet carries a multi layered meaning behind every lyric and the choreography. I’m not one that think music has to have a deeper meaning to be enjoyable, but having people do analyzation videos on a song definitely says a lot about the artists that value musical aesthetic in their creations. OnlyOneOf really popped off with 'dOra maar', it continues to be my top song even after all these months.

The whole melody and lyrics of 'dOra maar' perfectly expound the entangled and complicated emotions between 'dOra maar' and Picasso. When you hear this song, you can see the painting "The Weeping Woman" emerging in front of your eyes. "Pour that glass of rum and light your favorite aromatherapy. I watched you break down and cry in that chair, but I sit right in front of you and drew you that I like" Waah,it’s really a bop!!!

I think both the stage and the music are perfect. Which idol can perfectly digest a song like this masterpiece? It is a very good song with a nostalgic and sexual atmosphere without exposure.
