Trainee’s Performance May Be Edited Out From “Produce X 101” Because Of Roy Kim’s Song?
The ‘Burning Sun’ scandal is still a huge issue in Korea and those who are involved are greatly criticized by the public. Not long ago, it was said that Roy Kim was part of Jung JunYoung‘s scandalous chatroom and summoned to questioning.
It looks like for the time being, anything or song related to these artists are considered to be a taboo.
With that being said, some netizens have been discussing the fact that the evaluation video of trainee Lee SeJin from iMe Korea was nowhere to be found for Mnet “Produce X 101”. They then began to wonder if it was because he had sang one of Roy Kim’s hit songs, ‘BOM BOM BOM’.
The source of suspicion came from the teaser for episode 2 of “Produce X 10”.
He was heard singing lyrics that could also be found in ‘BOM BOM BOM’. You can check out the video below, it happened around 0.11.
Although netizens are unsure, Lee SeJin was seen holding an umbrella with flower petals attached on top, suggesting that he had performed a song related to spring.
Up till now, Mnet had not released any official statement but many believe that the broadcasting company might have edited Lee SeJin’s performance in case of backlash from the public.
What do you think actually might have happened?
