Ganghwa History Museum opened in 2010, and is located inside Ganghwa Dolmen Park, which was designated as UNESCO World Heritage Historic Site No. 137.

The museum aims to exhibit, preserve and educate about the history and culture of Ganghwa from prehistoric ages to modern times based on artifacts from the area.

How To Use


Admission / Participation Fees: 

Individual - Adults 3,000 won / Children 2,000 won
Groups - Adults 2,500 won / Children 1,500 won

* Group: 20 persons and more
* Adults (ages 19-64), Children (ages 7-18)
* Free admission: Infants (age 6 & under) and seniors (age 65 & over)


Parking Fee: 






Sinchon Station (Seoul Subway Line 2), Exit 4. Go straight 260m and at the bus stop in front of Artreon, take Bus No. 3000 to Ganghwa Bus Terminal. From Ganghwa Bus Terminal take Bus No. 01, 02, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 30, 32, or 35 and get off at the Dolmen Site Bus Stop.
